These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of StudiPace ("the Service"), a study planning application operated by: Savio Lauro Schreiner An den Weiden 6 50999 Köln, Germany Email: support@studipace.com By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
StudiPace is a smart, automated study planning tool that generates personalized study schedules based on your exams, availability, and learning preferences. The Service uses penalty-based algorithms, spaced repetition, machine learning, and AI-powered features to optimize your study plan. The Service includes AI-powered features such as: • Automatic study time estimation for exam topics • Timetable photo scanning — you may upload a photo of your class schedule, which is processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) to extract subject names, days, and times. Photos are processed in real-time and are not stored after extraction. • AI-assisted study chat for personalized guidance The Service is provided "as is." We continuously improve the algorithm but do not guarantee specific academic outcomes.
To use the Service, you must create an account by providing your name, email address, grade level, and a password. You must verify your email address via the confirmation link sent to you after registration. You are responsible for: • Providing accurate and complete information • Keeping your login credentials confidential • All activity that occurs under your account You will receive an email notification each time someone logs into your account, including the IP address and device used. If you forget your password, you may request a password reset via the "Forgot password?" link on the login page. Reset links expire after 1 hour for security. If you are under 16 years of age, you need consent from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service. By creating an account for a minor, the parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on the minor's behalf.
You agree not to: • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service • Create multiple accounts for abusive purposes • Upload malicious content or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities • Upload photos containing sensitive personal information of others (e.g., other students' data) when using the timetable scan feature — only upload your own timetable We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these obligations.
The Service offers a free plan and two paid plans (Pro and Max). Free plan: Includes core scheduling features with limits on the number of subjects (5) and active exams (3). AI-powered features are not included. Pro plan (€3.49/month, or €23.88/year billed annually): Includes unlimited subjects and exams, AI study time estimation, timetable photo scanning, and ML-personalized readiness scoring. Max plan (€12.99/month, or €109/year billed annually): Includes everything in Pro, plus the Daily Chat — a personal AI study companion that holds short conversational check-ins, remembers your study profile, and proposes additions or changes to your schedule (homework, exams, topics, sessions, weekly activities). The Daily Chat is exclusive to Max and is not included in Pro or the free trial. Free trial: New Pro subscribers can start with a 14-day free trial. Valid payment details (a card) are required to start the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically continues as a paid Pro plan and the price you selected (monthly or annual) is charged to your payment method when the trial ends. We send you a reminder email before the trial ends and before the first charge is made. You may cancel at any time during the trial — through the Settings page or the Stripe Customer Portal — in which case you will not be charged and your account switches to the free plan with no data lost. The trial does not include Daily Chat (Max-only). Payment: Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe, depending on the billing interval you select at checkout. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Settings page or the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@studipace.com. Price changes: We may adjust subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice via email. Existing subscribers will be notified before the change applies to their next billing cycle.
All content, design, code, algorithms, and branding of StudiPace are the intellectual property of the operator and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your study data (subjects, exams, schedules, etc.) remains your property. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process this data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes when possible.
To the extent permitted by German law: • We are liable without limitation for damages caused intentionally or through gross negligence. • For slight negligence, we are only liable for breaches of essential contractual obligations ("Kardinalpflichten"), limited to foreseeable, typically occurring damages. • We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or data loss caused by slight negligence. • The above limitations do not apply to damages arising from injury to life, body, or health, or under the Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz). The Service generates study schedules algorithmically. We do not guarantee academic success or specific exam results. You are solely responsible for your study decisions.
We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR/DSGVO). Please review our Privacy Policy for detailed information about what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
The contract begins when you create an account and continues indefinitely until terminated. You may terminate your account at any time through the Settings page. If you have an active Pro subscription, it will be cancelled automatically. Upon termination, your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. If you are on the Pro plan, you may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then. After cancellation, your account reverts to the free plan. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you may terminate your account.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer within the EU, you also benefit from mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of your country of residence. For disputes with consumers, the courts of your place of residence apply. For all other disputes, the exclusive jurisdiction is Köln, Germany.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that comes closest to the economic purpose of the invalid provision.
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day the contract is concluded. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Savio Lauro Schreiner, An den Weiden 6, 50999 Köln, Germany, support@studipace.com) of your decision to withdraw by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use our online withdrawal form at studipace.com/widerruf, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired. Consequences of withdrawal: If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your withdrawal, using the same means of payment you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise. Early expiry of the right of withdrawal for digital services: If you requested that the provision of the service begin during the withdrawal period, you owe us a reasonable amount corresponding to the portion of the service already provided. The right of withdrawal expires prematurely if we have fully performed the service and only began performance after you expressly consented to it and acknowledged that you would lose your right of withdrawal upon complete performance.
